Announcement by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru S. Joseph Vijay
In an unexpected vehicular accident today (30.08.2026) in Kollapatti village, Vedasandur taluk, Dindigul district, when a Mahindra Dost vehicle collided with bystanders on the roadside, Tmt. Anjalaiammal (aged 60) of Puthur village and four children—Yogavarshini (aged 11), Ananya (aged 6), Dhanusri (aged 7), and Poshkiran (aged 6)—sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital. Tragically, all four children succumbed to their injuries.
I convey my deepest condolences and sympathies to the parents and relatives of the deceased children. I have ordered special medical care for Tmt. Anjalaiammal and sanctioned financial relief from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund of Rs. 3,00,000/- each to the families of the deceased children and Rs. 1,00,000/- to the injured undergoing treatment.
